Akshay Nalawade, who is seen as Garud Dev in Shiv Shakti: Tap Tyaag Taandav and Kakbhushundi Ramayan, loves the reality show Bigg Boss. He called the show unique and confessed that it's a dream to be a part of it.
"I love Bigg Boss! It's actually on my wish list to be a part of the show one day. I truly hope an opportunity comes my way. According to me, it's a wonderful and unique show format. Where else can you be completely yourself and also showcase your skills at the same time?" he said.
"It's a solid platform that allows the world to see your real personality and your capabilities. In fact, it has served as a revival for many actors' careers. So yes, this show definitely does wonders," he added.
He believes that daily soap actors are more often seen in the show to break the monotony of their characters and show the world their real selves. He said, "Daily soap actors are often seen in fixed roles and characters, but Bigg Boss allows them to break free from that image. It gives them a chance to be seen as who they really are, beyond the screen persona."
"There's no other show where you can be so raw, real, and still be in front of the camera. For many actors, it's not just about popularity but also about reconnecting with their audience on a deeper level," he added.
Akshay acknowledged that reality shows do bring fame and recognition easily, but being a part of the show itself is challenging. Sharing his personal experience, he said, "Having been a part of a reality show myself, I can say it does bring success and fame-but it's not a cakewalk."
"People often see only the glamorous side, but behind the scenes, it requires a lot of hard work, emotional strength, patience, and consistency. You need to be skilled, stay grounded, and yes, a bit of luck always helps. If you have all these elements in place, then yes, success and fame might come quicker than through conventional routes," he added.
Would you be comfortable living on camera 24/7? He said, "Absolutely! I love the camera-that's why I chose to become an actor. In fact, it's my little ritual to pray to the camera before every shoot. So if I were to be on camera 24/7, I would actually consider it a blessing. And that's what excites me about Bigg Boss."
"I look forward to the day when I get to experience that format firsthand," he added.
And of course he loves Bigg Boss more because of the host, superstar Salman Khan. He said, "Salman Khan, sir, is irreplaceable. He's the best host Bigg Boss has ever had. What I love about him is his fairness, his ability to speak his mind, and his no-filter, badass style."
He brings fun, honesty, and authority to the show in the perfect balance. That's what keeps the show entertaining and impactful. His presence is one of the major reasons Bigg Boss is such a huge success," Akshay ended.
