Bade Achhe Lagte Hain Naya Season HIT Or FLOP: Will Harshad Chopda-Shivangi Joshi's Show Sustain For Long?

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain Naya Season HIT Or FLOP: The Indian television industry has been busy attempting new gimmicks to spice up the viewership. Channels like Star Plus, Sony Entertainment Television are bringing back new seasons of their popular properties amid the stagnation among the audience. As streaming platforms continue to garner huge viewership, TV channels are struggling to grab eyeballs and attract advertisers.
Barring a few shows, Hindi GECs have not delivered hit daily soaps in the last one year. None of the new fiction launches have been able to cross the 2-TVR mark in 2025. Noyontara, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain Naya Season, Aami Dakini, Saru, Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shehad Shehad have failed to live up to the hype.
Despite a promising start, both Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shehad Shehad and Noyontra witnessed a drop in their ratings in the second week. Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi starrer Bade Achhe Lagte Hain season 4 made waves when the promos were released. Considering the star power and title of the show, the industry expected BALH 4 to perform decently. However, it has not been able to strike a chord with the audience.
A reliable industry source exclusively told Filmibeat, "Bade Achhe Lagte Hain Naya Season has failed to live up to the hype. From a star-studded cast to a prime time slot, the show has all the required ingredients for success. However, it has not been able to connect with the masses. It is nowhere close to being a hit; however, it's too early to label it as a flop as the show is doing average but has scope to increase, if it is promoted well."
"The channel needs to realise the calibre and potential of the leads- Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi. The marketing and promotions for the show have been dull, and there are no interesting segments that are being released on social media platforms. Harshad and Shivangi's chemistry needs to be the centre of attraction, and the pacing of the show needs to be improved, if the makers wish to keep the show on air for at least a year," the source added.
