On Friday (July 25), Colors TV and JioHotstar released the first promo for Bigg Boss season 19, setting the internet on fire. The new season will commence earlier than expected, beaming first on JioHotstar (OTT) and later transitioning to Colors channel (TV).

"Bigg Boss 19 will either premiere on August 29 or August 31. The date will be confirmed soon. The channel and the production house are in the process of finalising the contestants," an industry source exclusively told Filmibeat's Chief Copy Editor Abhishek Ranjit.

AMAAL MALIK TO PARTICIPATE IN BIGG BOSS 19

If the latest buzz is to be believed, the makers have approached a popular name from Bollywood, who is known for his melodies and music composition in hit films. We are talking about Amaal Malik.

Filmibeat correspondent Kinnari Singh exclusively reported that Amaal Malik has been offered Bigg Boss season 19. "The MS Dhoni: The Untold Story music director is expected to participate in the reality show as he is in talks with the channel and the production house," our source quipped.

"While Amaal Malik is almost onboard for Bigg Boss 19, it is still not confirmed whether he would be featured in the show as the singer-music composer can back out at the last moment, if needed. The formalities have started, and he might sign the dotted lines for the show soon. The official confirmation about his participation will happen when he signs the contract with Colors and Endemol," another source told Filmibeat.

Amaal Malik remained in the headlines when he announced that he had cut off his ties with his family members. The news spread like wildfire on the internet, leaving the fans worried. He later deleted the post, setting several tongues wagging.
