Bigg Boss 19 launch date: A lot has been written and said about Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi shifting to Sony Entertainment Television due to creative issues between Endemol Shine and Colors TV. While the production house and the channel remained tight-lipped about the development, gossip mills stated that the two non-fiction properties might move out of Colors TV.

WILL BIGG BOSS 19 SHIFT TO SONY TV?

Last month, we shared a report, where we informed our beloved readers that Sony TV is interested in buying the rights for Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. The two shows grab eyeballs during their stint on the small screen, and the GEC is keen to revive its lost viewership.

A reliable industry source earlier told Filmibeat in April, "Sony Entertainment Television has been interested in bringing Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi to spice up their viewership. The channel has been eying the two popular non-fiction properties since a very long time. While their fiction shows have failed to garne huge ratings, the reality shows are working for them. If they manage to regain the telecast rights of Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi, it will be a game changer for them."

Our khabri added, "Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi may find a new home on Sony TV due to creative differences between the channel (Colors TV) and the production house."

The month of July is usually bookmarked for Khatron Ke Khiladi as Rohit Shetty's show usually premieres during the same time. Gossip mills have now suggested that Bigg Boss season 19 might take over the slot of KKK 15 in July. While there's no official confirmation about the same, speculations are rife that Salman Khan will shoot the promo in mid-June.

Bigg Boss 19 is reportedly airing in July 2025, which is strange as the show is usually launched during the festive season in October. Guess what? The channel has not been finalised as of now. Colors TV and Sony TV are in the race to air the show on their channel.

"Bigg Boss 19 will most probably air on Colors TV only. The show is not going anywhere as the channel won't relinquish the rights for the show," the source said.
