On Thursday (July 31), days after unveiling the new official logo of Bigg Boss 19, Colors TV dropped the first promo of BB19, featuring 'Bhaijaan' Salman Khan. Mark your calendars, Bigg Boss 19 is all set to go on air next month, from August 24.
Sharing the quirky announcement video on Instagram, Salman Khan captioned his post, "Laut aaya hoon main leke Bigg Boss ka naya season!

This time, the makers opted for a unique strategy. BB19 will stream on JioHostar first. And then after 1 hr 30 minutes, it will air on TV (Colors TV channel). Yes, you read that right. As per the Bigg Boss Tak Twitter page, Bigg Boss 19 episodes will stream on JioHostar at 9:00 PM, followed by TV airing at 10:30 PM on weekdays. This season, the Bigg Boss (Hindi) theme is apparently 'Gharwalon ki Sarkaar'.
Bigg Boss Season 19: How Much Is Salman Khan Charging For BB19?
Over the years, Salman Khan has emerged as one of the highest-paid hosts of Indian television. And this time, too, he is apparently taking home a hefty paycheck for Bigg Boss 19. According to SCREEN, Salman Khan is getting paid around Rs 8-10 cr per weekend for BB19, earning somewhere between Rs 120-150 cr during his 15-week run as the host.
For those unversed, reports are rife, Salman Khan will be hosting Bigg Boss 19 for the first three months. After him, Farah Khan, Karan Johar and Anil Kapoor will reportedly take over the show. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
Did Salman Khan Reduce His Fees For Bigg Boss 19?
As per ETimes, Khan had allegedly charged a whopping 350 cr INR for the entire season of Bigg Boss 18, breaking down to roughly Rs 25 cr per weekend. If the SCREEN report is to be believed, Salman seems to have reduced his fees for Bigg Boss 19 compared to his salary for BB18.
