Celebrity MasterChef Contestants Fees Per Episode: Sony Entertainment Television has launched the new season of MasterChef India on Monday (January 27). The first episode turned out to be an entertaining affair as the celebrities left no stone unturned to impress the judges with their culinary skills. The likes of Tejasswi Prakash, Dipika Kakar showcased their skills in the kitchen, gaining brownie points from Farah Khan, Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar.

"Celebrity MasterChef is the next big launch on Indian Television after CID 2. The channel has planned to place the show on weekdays at 9pm slot, replacing Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 from February 2025. If KBC 16 gets an extension, MasterChef might take the weekday 8pm slot on Sony Entertainment Television," a reliable industry source earlier exclusively told Filmibeat.

MasterChef has been slotted at 8pm on weekdays, where it competes with Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, ShivShakti and Bhagyalakshmi.

Considering her popularity, the channel and the production house have no qualms in paying her a decent sum of money. We have heard that Tejasswi is charging Rs 6-8 lakh per week for Celebrity MasterChef. This makes her the highest paid contestant of the season."

The TV diva revealed the reason why she signed the dotted lines for the cooking-reality show.

"Reality TV has taught me to be fearless and authentic but cooking on national television is a whole new level of vulnerability. I truly believe that food is a love language, so I've decided to put my heart (and culinary skills) on the line to impress the audiences and I hope this is a recipe for success," Tejasswi said in a statement released by Sony TV and quoted as saying by Times Of India.
