Just like fiction shows, reality shows also play on human emotions by churning out drama-packed episodes and sob stories where the contestants get emotional and talk about their 'struggles' and journey. Dipika Kakar, who broke down into tears in the recent MasterChef India promo, didn't find any sympathy from the audience. The viewers expressed their displeasure as the Sasural Simar Ka actress cried on national television.

When Farah Khan asked Dipika Kakar why she was weeping in Celebrity MasterChef, the TV star said, "Main aaj unhe represent kar rahi ho jinhe ye bolke dabaya jaata hai, ki kitchen mein toh khana hi banana hai. Haan, hu main home cook."

Dipika said that she was representing the women who are suppressed by taunts. The official Instagram handle of Sony TV posted the promo along with the caption, "Har aurat jo kitchen ki chaar deewaron tak simat gayi thi, un sabki kahaniyan Dipika ke zariye saamne aayengi.
