Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan: Abhimanyu Singh Says "His Courage And Patriotism At Such A Young Age.."

For years, the story of Prithviraj Chauhan has mostly been told through the lens of his iconic romance with Princess Sanyogita. But the upcoming series Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan aims to rewrite that perspective, focusing instead on the king's unmatched courage, sharp military strategy, and his legendary battle against Muhammad Ghori in the 12th century.

"So far, most portrayals of Prithviraj Chauhan have focused largely on his romance with Sanyogita, often overlooking his extraordinary journey as a warrior," says Abhimanyu Singh, Founder & CEO of Contiloe Pictures. "What sets this show apart is that it delves into the making of a child king - a 12-year-old who ascended the throne and took on the immense responsibility of defending his motherland against one of the most feared and ruthless invaders of 12th century India, Muhammad Ghori. His courage and patriotism at such a young age were nothing short of legendary."

The new series aims to dive deep into Prithviraj's military exploits, his leadership, and the political turmoil of the time culminating in the pivotal battles against Ghori. While past portrayals have romanticized the king's life, this one is determined to offer a more complete picture of the ruler who once stood as the last major king who ruled Delhi.

With elaborate battle scenes, larger than life sets, illustrious mix of seasoned actors, and a through research, the series promises to bring to life a period of Indian history to the audience. Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan will drop on Sony Entertainment Television & SonyLIV from June 4 onwards at 7:30 PM.
