Reacting to the ongoing buzz, an insier told Abhishek Ranjit from Filmibeat, "Contrary to the rumours floating on the internet, CID 2 is not ending. Yes, it is under the scanner but the channel is monitoring the TRPs and has not taken any decision about the show's future. ACP Pradyuman and his team will continue to entertain the audience as the show has a contract for one-year."

CID 2 has been garnering a lot of attention over the actors' hefty paychecks. According to The Daily Jagran, Shivji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman gets paid a whopping Rs 1 lakh per episode. As the report further suggests, Dayanand Shetty (Daya) and Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava) take home around Rs 80,000 and Rs 70,000, respectively, for each episode.
