CID Season 2 EXCLUSIVE! Will Parth Samthaan LEAVE CID 2 After Shivaji Satam's Re-entry?

When CID 2 introduced Parth Samthaan as the new ACP, industry experts predicted that the show might witness a slight increase in ratings.

WHY ACP AYUSHMAAN (PARTH SAMTHAAN) WAS INTRODUCED IN CID SEASON 2?

To add the shock value, Shivaji Satam's character ACP Pradyuman was bumped off from CID 2. Shivaji bid adieu to the crime thriller after being a part of CID since its inception. The big twist was incorporated into the storyline to increase the viewership and grab more eyeballs. However, nothing worked.

A reliable industry source exclusively told Filmibeat, "CID 2 has not been able to strike a chord with TV audience despite the star-studded cast and impressive storyline. While the early episodes garnered decent TRPs, the number started falling from February. The channel is not content with the ratings and has plans to modify the storyline and cast with additional changes. While Shivaji Satam will make his exit, a popular actor will replace him as the new ACP."

Parth Samthaan returned to the small screens with a different role, showcasing his acting prowess as ACP Ayushman. "Parth Samthaan will be seen as ACP Ayushman in CID 2. His entry will shake up things in the bureau. This is a huge move on the production house's part as they want to spice up the viewership. Parth has already started the shoot for CID season 2. His entry is expected to air in the upcoming episodes," our khabri earlier quipped.

However, his entry has not reaped any dividends for the channel or the production house. The TRPs of CID 2 have plummeted to 0.3, which is quite low.

Rumour mills have suggested that Parth Samthaan will move out of the show if the ratings continue to dip.

When we contacted another reliable industry source for a comment on the same, he quipped, "The channel has to understand that the easy availability of CID 2 online (Netflix) and competition from IPL 2025 have severely affected the viewership of the show. Just like Shivaji Satam's exit was a promotional gimmick; the rumours of Parth leaving might also be false. We have to wait for some time to know the clear picture."
