Did You Know? Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi Star Sanchita Ugale Played Tarabai In Vicky Kaushal Starrer Chhaava

Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi actress Sanchita Ugale, who plays the lead role of Sukoon in the popular drama, earlier played the role of Tarabai in Vicky Kaushal starred movie Chhaava.

The movie was based on the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire, played by Vicky Kaushal. An adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant, it is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. The cast also includes Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Divya Dutta, Alok Nath, Ashutosh Rana among others. The young actress was paired opposite Varun Buddhadev who was seen as Chhatrapati Rajaram Maharaj.

Who was Tarabai the role she essayed, Maharani Tarabai Bhosale was the regent of the Maratha Empire from 1700 until 1708. She was the queen of Rajaram I, and daughter-in-law of the kingdom's founder Shivaji I. She is acclaimed for her role in keeping alive the resistance against Mughal rule in Konkan, and acting as the regent of the Maratha Empire during the minority of her son, Shivaji II. She defeated Mughal forces of Aurangzeb in several battles and expanded the Maratha Empire.
