Dipika Kakar Health Update: Shoaib Ibrahim Reveals Sasural Simar Ka Actress Is Out Of ICU & Is Recovering

Shoaib Ibrahim informed fans about Dipika Kakar's health following her stage 2 liver cancer surgery. She is recovering well after a 14-hour operation.

Television actor Shoaib Ibrahim recently shared an update on his wife, Dipika Kakar's health. She had been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer last month. On June 3, she underwent a significant surgery. Shoaib revealed through his YouTube vlogs that Dipika is now out of the ICU and her condition is improving.

"Tomorrow is Eid Al Adha and today on such an auspicious day Dipika is out of the ICU. I am really grateful that she is out of the ICU and she is with us. She was in the ICU for three days and her condition kept improving after the surgery. Around evening, the doctors decided to shift her to the room. She will be here for a few days as the surgery was major, she was in the OT for 14 hours," he said.

Dipika's Surgery Details

Shoaib provided more details about Dipika's lengthy surgery, which lasted 14 hours. He mentioned that they were anxious since doctors had warned it would be extensive. She entered the operating theatre at 8:30 am and emerged at 11:30 pm. Shoaib met her when she was moved to the ICU.

During this time, there was a moment of panic around 6-7 pm due to a lack of updates from the operating theatre. However, doctors assured Shoaib that no news meant everything was proceeding well.

Additional Medical Findings

While performing the surgery, doctors discovered a stone in Dipika's gallbladder. Consequently, they removed her gallbladder and also excised a small portion of her liver due to its cancerous tumour. Shoaib shared that doctors explained how the liver can heal itself over time, so while caution is necessary, there's no need for undue stress.

Last month, Dipika disclosed her battle with stage 2 liver cancer via an emotional Instagram post. Known for her role in "Sasural Simar Ka," she revealed that intense stomach pain led to discovering a tumour "the size of a tennis ball" in her liver.

Shoaib's Emotional Journey

Shoaib has been consistently updating fans about Dipika's health on social media platforms. Recently, he posted an emotional video on their YouTube channel describing this period as "the toughest phase" of their lives but expressed hope for recovery.

"Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, the scan report came out clear. The virus or its cells have not spread anywhere else in the body. Whatever is there is confined to the tumour, and once the tumour is surgically removed, Inshallah, things will get better," he said.

The couple remains hopeful as they navigate this challenging time together with support from family and friends.
