Doree 2 last episode: Colors TV is facing backlash on social media for ending one of its 'decent' shows, Doree season 2. The second season of the show premiered in January 2025 with a lot of promise, showcasing the story of grown-up Doree. The daily soap had a star-studded cast, sizzling chemistry between the leads and an impressive storyline. However, the lack of promotions and late-night slot affected the ratings.

When the ratings are low, it sounds the alarm bells for the production house. Colors channel has reportedly issued a notice to the makers to improve the TRPs or shut shop. If the latest buzz is to be believed, Doree will go off air in the mid June. Sorry, but it indeed happening.

Ishaan Dhawan and Priyanshi Yadav will bid adieu to the audience following the culmination of IPL 2025. As the channel is gearing up for the launch of new shows including Noyontara, it will axe the properties that are not faring well in terms of TRPs.

A reliable industry source told Filmibeat, "Colors TV is pulling the plug on Doree 2 due to drop in viewership. The second season couldn't perform as per expectations and hence, the channel decided to axe it rather than dragging the show endlessly. Doree season 2 will be pushed to the 11pm slot for a few episode as Noyontara is launching from June 9. This means that Ram Bhavan will take the 10:30pm slot on the channel. The last episode will air on June 13, 2025."

When asked about Doree 2 is ending, the source quipped, "Doree season 2 deserved better promotions as the leads had the potential to generate viewership. Both Ishaan and Priyanshi did a phenomenal job as Maan and Doree. Maan is a 'true blue green forest' in an era where male characters have showcased aggression during the separation phase. Cough cough Abhimanyu (Harshad Chopda from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai), Armaan (Rohit Purohit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai), Anirudh (Krushal Ahuja from Jhanak)."

"Doree 2 is ending because the channel messed-up the timings of the show. The episodes used to air as late as 10:50pm at times, affecting the viewership. Even Mannat and Ram Bhavan have struggled to keep up with IPL 2025. Doree 2 deserved better as the channel never promoted the show well and they failed to capitalise on the momentum on social media," the khabri added.

The leading Hindi GEC received criticism for ending a good show while other non-performing properties like Parineetii, Ram Bhavan are still on air. Social media users have expressed their displeasure over the decision and they have been quite vocal about it.

One user tweeted, "#Doree2 is actually a good show where the female lead has self-respect, isn't a doormat and the male lead has common sense. That's why it's ending as female like doormat Female Lead, Toxic male lead (sic)."

Another wrote, "#Doree2- No toxicity, no villains winning, no long separation, no faltu dream tracks. Doree & Maan ACTUALLY stay together & don't MU each other. YET off air! Another example of how outdated the TRP system is & why the urban viewer is slowly falling out of love with ITV! (sic)"
