Star Plus, which boasts of Anupamaa, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Udne Ki Aasha, has witnessed a slump in the TVR of its shows.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, which was once the jewel on the channel's crown, has dipped in ratings. The once number-two show has failed to impress the audience. The decision to replace the leads has backfire, resulting in a negative response from the viewers. While the time slot didn't do any wonders for Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, the change in leads also affected the overall viewership.

Bhavika Sharma and Hitesh Bharadwaj were replaced as the leads of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, setting several tongues wagging. The programming change didn't pay dividends as the viewership kept on declining. Star Plus changed the time slot of GHKPM twice, once to make way for Jaadu Teri Nazar and second, after Rabb Rakha went off air.

If the latest buzz is to be believed, the channel has made its mind to replace Param Singh, Sanam Johar and Vaibhavi Hankare as the leads. The production house is reportedly looking for a replacement as the show is heading towards a revamp.

When we asked a reliable industry source about the possible replacement, he quipped, "Star Plus is definitely not happy with the decrease in TRPs of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin but there's no official confirmation about the revamp. The channel is yet to take a call on the future of the show as it might pull it off due to low ratings. The cast and crew are working hard to bring decent viewership but the competition from IPL 2025 is not doing the show any favour."

A report in India Forums claimed that Vaibhavi Hankare would get replaced while Param Singh and Sanam Johar might get retained in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin serial.

WILL BHAVIKA SHARMA RETURN TO GHUM HAI KISIKEY PYAAR MEIIN?

Gossip mills suggested that Bhavika Sharma would make a comeback as she was in talks with the production house. However, Filmibeat has learned that there's no truth to the same.

"Bhavika Sharma was in talks with Endemol India for Khatron Ke Khiladi season 15. The channel (Colors TV) and the production house were keen to have her on board; however, the show got postponed due to creative issues between the two sides. Bhavika is not expected to make a comeback to Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin unless there is a meaty track. The rumours of her comeback are false. If the story demands her comeback, she would make a return only when there is a good plot. Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is a sinking ship and the makers are trying their best to revive the show. However, the show is doomed to go off air following IPL 2025 finale," an industry source exclusively told Filmibeat.

Ayesha Singh, Aishwarya Sharma and Neil Bhatt originally played the lead roles in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. They quit the show when the makers announced a generation leap to spice up the viewership.
