Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin EXCLUSIVE! Param Singh Reveals If Joining Star Plus Show Mid-way Was Easy Or Not

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin Twist EXCLUSIVE Param Singh

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin twist: I couldn't be happier to see Param Singh back on the small screen. He's not only a terrific actor but also boasts of immense knowledge about the industry. As Star Plus released the new promo for Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, fans expressed their excitement on seeing Param back on TV.

From spilling the beans about his return to talking about joining a show mid-way, Param Singh barred his heart out in an exclusive interview with Filmibeat.

Here are excerpts from the interview.

1- Welcome back on Indian television. We are glad you decided to take up Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, one of the most popular shows on the small screen. What made you say yes to the project? Did you take your own sweet time or did you immediately give your approval?

The character arch , a good team & the overall storyline made me say yes to the project.Yes I did think about it for a while & then I decided on meeting them. After the formal meeting, I was convinced & signed up for it.

2- Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has witnessed multiple leaps and twists in the past four-and-a-half years. While GHKPM is popular, joining a show midway is never easy as you have to work extra hard to connect to the masses. Was it an easy decision to join a show which introduced a new lead cast?

No it wasn't an easy decision for me.I think the efforts that I put in every project I take up are the same.Whether it's a fresh project or continuous one , my job is to focus on the detailing work and conduct around my character. No matter which medium, I hold the same curiosity towards everything I take up.

3- We cannot help but talk about your look for Ghum Hai. Walk us through the look for the show and how much time it took for the makers to present it to the audience. Did you add your input?

I didn't really work on the look aspect of Neil it was mainly a collective call of the show's team. The look was decided to be clean shaved , spectacled & side parted hair.My inputs were mainly involved in bringing the character to life.

4- Are you someone who monitors the TRPs or do you just believe in doing your work? Ghum Hai has been a chart-topper but the ratings have dipped a bit. What's your take on it?

I believe in doing my own work whether TRP is high or low.I can play my role with honesty but the narrative it creates & the perception around it will never be in my control so i don't fret about it now.I can just go about doing my work.

5- Being a part of a show that has a love triangle is complex as the opinions are mixed. Were you skeptical at any point of time as love triangles often get bashed on social media?

I wasn't skeptical at any given point of time because there's no set formula around what's going to work and what isn't going to.When it comes to social media, I am lucky that I am not really friendly or aware about what's happening on it so that cuts me some slack.

6- You have been lucky to be a part of an era when youth GECs existed along with other topline GECs. Be it Channel V or MTV India, the youth GECs offered fiction shows to the audience. However, no youth GECs offer relatable youth shows anymore. What's your take on it?

I feel there's been a switch in the preference of the mediums the youth binge content on. I could be wrong in my opinion here but I feel the youth watches content available at the click of fingers either on OTT or social media for that matter.

7- Sadda Haq was one hell of a show that redefined meaningful content on the small screen. If a new season is offered to you, will you be up for it? Or you won't like to touch the legacy of the show? Your two cents, please.

I would definitely take up any season at any age of Saddahaq because I am very grateful about everything it has given me & shaped me into as an actor. I would love being a part of it if the makers plan for the same.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin airs on Star Plus from Monday to Sunday at 7:50pm. The show is also available for streaming on JioStar.
