Gudi Padwa 2025: Kishori Shahane Shares Festive Traditions And Cherished Memories

Gudi Padwa, which falls on March 30th this year, is a significant festival marking the beginning of the new year for Maharashtrians. It symbolizes fresh starts, new ventures, and positive energy. The Gudi, a decorated flag-like arrangement, is believed to bring prosperity and good fortune into homes while inviting divine blessings for the year ahead. On this auspicious occasion, Kishori Shahane from Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye reflects on her cherished memories and the meaningful way she celebrates Gudi Padwa.
Kishori Shahane who essays the role of Babita in Zee TV's Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye said, "Gudi Padwa is an invitation into our rich cultural heritage, a day when we reconnect with the stories and traditions of our families. The Gudi is a symbol of our cultural identity, resilience, and unwavering faith. My fondest memories of this festival revolve around the family coming together and indulging in delicious delicacies such as shrikhand puri and puran poli. I hoist the gudi at the entrance of our home and we come together to pray for everyone's well-being and to set goals for the year ahead. Gudi Padwa is a time for new beginnings, and I make it a tradition to start something new each year. Last year, I prepared and brought puran poli on the set of Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye and celebrated the occasion with the cast of the show. It was a wonderful experience sharing the joy of this festival with my on-screen family, making the occasion even more special."
