Happy Holi 2025: Jamai No 1 actor Abhishek Malik says that this Holi is very special for him as he will get to celebrate it with his family. He adds that he loves playing Holi with colours, and would be doing so this year too.

"This Holi is going to be extra special for me because my family-my mother and sister-are here. I was missing them a lot, so we will be celebrating together in Mumbai. I love gulal because it's vibrant and full of life. I have a special fondness for red, so laal gulal perfectly represents my energy and passion," he says.

He adds, "I prefer playing dry Holi with herbal colours. I like to keep it simple and eco-friendly. In my childhood, I used to play with watercolours a lot, but now Holi for me is more about celebrating with family, enjoying good food, and creating beautiful memories."

Sharing his best memories, he says, "My best Holi memories are from my childhood. We used to celebrate on our terrace and later jump into the swimming pool to play. It was always a massive celebration filled with laughter and fun. My mother always made me apply sarson ka tel (mustard oil) on my skin and coconut oil on my hair to prevent the colours."

As for food, he loves bingeing on yummy snacks on Holi. "I absolutely love gujiya! It's a must-have for me. Our family tradition includes making dahi bhallas, and we also prepare a variety of dishes like chole chane and some non-vegetarian specialties. The entire day feels like a grand feast!"

In fact, the actor makes sure to dress up on Holi too! "I make sure to wear a white kurta and pair it with a colorful chunni to add a unique touch to my outfit."
