Hrishikesh Pandey Talks About The CID Animated Version: It's A Lovely Feeling

Hrishikesh Pandey, who is currently seen as Inspector Sachin in the popular detective TV series CID, is happy that the audience is getting the chance to see the animated version of the show with CID Squad. He said, "It's a lovely, wonderful feeling because you are part of such a big legacy show."
"I can't express that feeling," he added.
He stressed that CID has always been a show that catered to audiences of all age groups. He said, "This is the only show where you don't have anything vulgar or inappropriate to watch with your family, so I think everybody has been watching it already. Even when we go anywhere, a lot of kids, even from colleges, come up and say, 'We watch CID.' People who are working now also say, 'We've been watching CID since childhood and still watch it.' "
"People remember us as the longest-running show. It's even in the Limca Book of Records, so it's a wonderful feeling," he added.
Talking about the CID Squad, Hrishikesh further shared that the makers have been capturing the personal interactions and relationships, which really helps. "In the animation, we are not aware about the characters yet, but I am sure that all the important characters will be introduced and I would love to record for my character," he said.
"I know people can relate to it, and I'm sure they do, because when we meet a lot of people, they also come up and mention the characters, and we still play CID, and they keep their names as Sachin, Daya, and Abhijeet," he added.
He also mentioned that if he had the opportunity to voice a character in CID Squad, he would like to record his character of Inspector Sachin if the charcater is introduced. He also confessed that CID Squad can pave the way for more animated adaptations of iconic crime shows.
"There are other popular shows, and iconic characters can be adapted into animation as well. I'm sure of that. Maybe in the near future, they can plan something like that. As long as the characters are famous and it works, people will definitely catch on to it," Hrishikesh ended.
