“I prefer spontaneous monsoon getaways”- Anupama Solanki

Actress Anupama Solanki who has been a part of Yeh Hai Mohabbatien, Nath- Krishna Aur Gauri Ki Kahani, Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai and Jamuniya and currently seen in show Jagriti - Ek Nayi Subah shares her thoughts about the monsoon season, travel, and how taking short breaks plays a vital role in her personal and professional life.
Speaking about her plans this season, Anupama says,"I love monsoons, but I don't always make fixed travel plans during this season. I prefer being spontaneous. If my schedule allows, I would like to explore an offbeat location-maybe a place that's not too touristy but still beautiful and peaceful."
She adds that even a short weekend trip to a quiet village in the hills is enough for her to feel refreshed.
When asked about places she avoids during monsoon travel, she shares,"I avoid low-lying areas or places that get waterlogged easily. Big cities with heavy traffic during rains can also be frustrating. I stay away from adventure zones like trekking unless I know it's safe. I believe in enjoying nature but with caution."
For her, comfort and health are key while travelling."I carry a waterproof bag, a good rain jacket, mosquito repellent, and quick-dry clothes. I also keep ginger tea bags and some basic medicines. And yes, a small diary to write thoughts-it feels beautiful to write when it's raining outside," she says with a smile.
Anupama finds travel deeply fulfilling, both as a person and as an artist."Travelling gives me a break from routine. It refreshes my emotions and thoughts. I observe people and places when I travel, and these observations help me bring real emotions into my performances," she explains.
Sharing her monsoon travel wish list, she says,"I would love to visit Sikkim or peaceful parts of Himachal. Their untouched beauty and silence really call out to me. I also want to visit Ujjain or Haridwar-places that bring spiritual calm."
On actors taking short breaks, Anupama says wisely,"Our work doesn't run on fixed hours. But I believe if we don't take breaks, we eventually burn out. Breaks are not a luxury they are a need, especially in creative fields like ours."
