Indian Idol 15 winner: The viewers of Indian Idol season 15 have been quite vocal about the show throughout its run on Sony Entertainment Television. As the channel and the production house announced the winner and runner-up, the fans expressed their thoughts on social media.

While the majority of the audience was pleased with the Indian Idol 15 finale voting results, they were unhappy with Anirudh Suswaram's elimination. The Kurnool-based singer was evicted from the Indian Idol season 15 pre-finale episode on Saturday (April 5), setting several tongues wagging.

Anirudh shared a video, where he documented how his screen time was reduced. He stated, "Since I was in a war (competition), I had fought it, not expressing anything until I was on the show. It's me who chose to go to the show just for my music. I have questioned whenever such injustice has happened and it in turn caused more of such events may be because someone's ego got hurt. Let it be songs given to me, let it be arrangements of my songs, let it be positioning of my songs on shoot day and episode telecast. Screen space given, not making me sing in front of guests maximum number of times, sometimes skipping my performance and making me sing later whenever they wanted to, Manipulations done on edits etc (sic)."

Anirudh described his experience as 'mental trauma', leaving the audience stunned.

"Just FYI. I am indebted for what all that I have received from the show. I will be forever grateful for the showmakers, judges and crew. But the pain and trauma I have gone through off the camera is something soo personal and I expressed my pain out. I didn't even mention what all I faced, but just put that I have gone through lots of mental stress so that people who would love to aspire bigger things from a show like this will be well prepared mentally too before entering," the caption for his post read.

Instagram users are disappointed with Sony TV's decision to evict Anirudh and not take him to the finale, even when Indian Idol 15 voting trends suggested that he would secure a spot in the top five.

Fans have flooded the comments section of Sony TV's Instagram post. One user commented, "Switch off TV after Anirudh eliminated...I will unsubscribe Sony...are there rules they follow in this show to eliminate or putting a singer in bottom 3 or select as best performer? (sic)."

"Favouritism at peak in Indian Idol. Why couldn't they select Anirudh. He deserved to be in top5 for his hard work. This is bad, This is unfair (sic)," another said.

"LOL i love the way my family who are ardent fans of GOOD MUSIC switched off the TV after top 5 selection... This biased finale of yours deserves it (sic)," one fan said.

The netizens are upset over Sony TV not allowing Anirudh to perform in the finale episode on Sunday (April 6) and eliminating him on the basis of judges' scores. One user stated, You guys took him to the GRANDEST FINALE only to eliminate him without even letting him have that one finale performance, imagine how disheartening it would have been for the him!! You guys have played with his emotions (sic)."

" Anirudh sung the best & still he got eliminated. Feelings for this show has completely vanished. To all the future singers, don't participate in this show. It's utter waste. It will only give you temporary fame (sic)," another user said in his scathing remark.

One Instagram user commented, "Indian Idol 14 finale was much much better than this season's finale. Even 10+ guests were also not able to fill the void created by the absence of Sonu Nigam and Kumar Sanu. This season was bearable only because of the presence of Shreya Ghoshal and the bonding we got to see between the judges."

Indian Idol 15 finale turned out to be a blockbuster affair as the contestants performed hit songs from the 90s, paying a tribute to Bollywood music.
