Inn Galiyon Mein: Namita Lal On Shooting With Naseeruddin Shah's son, Bhagyashree's Daughter

Actress-producer Namita Lal, whose film Inn Galiyon Mein is all set to release on 14th March, is seen sharing the screen with Naseeruddin Shah's son Vivaan and with Bhagyashree's daughter Avantika. She says that it was wonderful to shoot with them.
"Working with Vivaan was wonderful. He's an intelligent, original, and dedicated actor. He gets into his character with incredible intensity and seriousness. His role in this film was quite challenging, and we all had to learn and speak the local Lucknowi dialect. The people from the neighbourhood helped us get the language and nuances right, and it was a learning experience for all of us. Ivan and I shared amazing chemistry on set; I played his mother, and I believe that bond shows beautifully on screen," she says.
She adds, "Even with Avantika, it was wonderful, you will see that on screen. I hadn't seen any of my footage before, as I avoided watching myself on the monitor during shoots. Seeing it for the first time, I felt that the chemistry between all the actors was incredibly organic."
Sharing incidents from the set, she says, "There were so many funny incidents on set, especially around the local language and expressions. The film's dialogue includes some very local phrases and even a few light-hearted local abuses, all taught to me by the local people. Since the writer was from a different part of Uttar Pradesh and the director was from Bihar, the Lucknowi language had its distinct flavour.
The locals often helped me get my pronunciation and expressions right. I truly enjoyed working on this film. The dialogues were powerful and memorable, and the entire experience was unforgettable. I hope the film gets the recognition it deserves. It's a beautiful piece of work. The entire cast, including Jaaved Jaaferi, and many talented local actors, and theatre artists from Lucknow, delivered outstanding performances. Everyone involved, from the cast to the community that participated in the shooting, was incredible. Hats off to Avinash Das and Punarvasu, and producers for investing their time, effort, and resources into a film like this. I sincerely hope audiences will appreciate the beauty and depth of this project."
