International Yoga Day: Shivani Gosain Shares How Surya Namaskar And Chakrasana Power Her Routine

International Yoga Day 2025 Update: Actress Shivani Gosain, currently seen in Rishton Se Badi Gauri, credits yoga as a non-negotiable part of her daily routine-one that fuels her physically, mentally, and spiritually. On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Shivani opens up about how yoga keeps her grounded, glowing, and in tune with herself despite the long and unpredictable hours of an actor's life.
"Yoga is a very important part of my life," she shares. "Almost every day, I make time for it, no matter how early my shoot is. I need a couple of hours in the morning to myself, and I always ensure I manage at least 45 minutes of yoga before leaving for work. And if I can't do it at home, I try to squeeze in a few stretches or breathing exercises in my makeup room."
Far from believing that yoga works slowly, Shivani is a firm advocate for its effectiveness. "I don't agree when people say it works slow. If done properly, yoga can be more powerful and faster in its impact than gym workouts," she asserts.
Her daily practice includes Surya Namaskar, Chakrasana, Anulom-Vilom, and a mix of breathing and stretching exercises. "Yoga has brought healthy changes in my life. It keeps my body flexible, improves mobility, and gives me sustained energy throughout the day. More importantly, it makes me feel mentally happy and emotionally balanced."
A blend of discipline and mindfulness, yoga has become Shivani's anchor - a practice that not only keeps her fit but helps her find peace and clarity amid the hustle of the entertainment industry. "Surya Namaskar and Chakrasana are my favourites - they open up the whole body and energize me like nothing else," she says.
