Ishita Dutta Shares Health Update As She & Her Son Gets Hospitalised: It's Been A Tough Month

Ishita Dutta recently shared her health struggles while caring for her newborn son, Vaayu. Now recovering, she also announced the arrival of her daughter, Veda, and her upcoming role in Drishyam 3.

Actress Ishita Dutta recently shared a heartfelt update with her followers, revealing the challenges she has faced over the past month. She posted a photo from a hospital bed with her son Vaayu, explaining that both of them had been unwell. "It's been a really tough month… At a time when I was supposed to be with my newborn, I was making hospital rounds instead," she wrote.

Despite not providing many details, Ishita reassured her fans that they are now on the mend. "Thankfully, both Vaayu and I are doing much better now," she mentioned. Additionally, she addressed comments about her weight loss, clarifying, "A lot of you have been asking me about my weight loss — it wasn't deliberate, just a result of being unwell."

Ishita Dutta Welcomes Baby Girl

In June 2025, Ishita Dutta and her husband Vatsal Seth welcomed their second child, a daughter named Veda. The couple introduced their baby girl in a heartwarming video from her naming ceremony shared on social media. The video captured the joyful moment as they swung their daughter in a traditional cloth cradle surrounded by family and friends.

The balloons displaying the baby's name added to the festive atmosphere. This new addition to their family has brought immense joy to Ishita and Vatsal as they embrace parenthood once again.

Upcoming Projects for Ishita Dutta

On the professional front, Ishita is set to captivate audiences with her role in Drishyam 3. The film features Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Tabu, Rajat Kapoor and others in significant roles. Fans have eagerly awaited this third installment of the popular franchise, which is expected to begin production soon.

The Drishyam series began in 2013 with Jeetu's Malayalam version starring Mohanlal. It follows Georgekutty's family's struggles after a policewoman's son disappears. Due to its success, it was remade in Kannada with V Ravichandran and Telugu with Venkatesh in 2014 and Tamil with Kamal Haasan in 2015 before being adapted into Hindi featuring Ajay Devgn.
