Jagriti: Ek Nayi Subah actor Titiksha Shrivastava is not one to over exaggerate when it comes to emotions. She prefers feeling them over performing them.

She said, "I rely on emotional honesty. I never 'perform' emotions-I try to feel them genuinely, even in the most extreme scenes. Instead of thinking, 'How would a villain react?' I think, 'How would this woman, who has lost everything, respond in this moment?' That keeps the performance real and relatable."

"When your emotions are rooted in truth, the impact automatically follows," she added.

The actress is playing a negative character in the show and shared that the role challenged every comfort zone she had. She said, "My natural aura is soft and calm, so embodying aggression, manipulation, and darkness was quite difficult. I had never played a negative shade before-not even in theater. So it was creatively demanding to alter my energy and body language completely. But that's where growth happens."

"This role has taught me that as an actor, flexibility is power-to be able to switch between love and rage, peace and chaos, in the same show," she added.

With negative character comes a lot of trolling, and Titiksha shared that it was an eye-opener for her. She said, "Initially, it did affect me-because fans are so emotionally invested that they start living your character with you. But now, I take it as the highest form of compliment. If people are reacting so strongly, it means I've made them believe."

"I see their criticism as proof that my portrayal has connected deeply. So, I've learned to convert trolling into motivation," she added.

Sharing some upcoming details about her character, she said, "I think Geeta will always live in the grey-because life itself isn't black or white. What makes her fascinating is that she constantly battles between her good heart and her wounded spirit. And that's what keeps her human."

"As for me as an actor, I'm grateful that I got to explore both sides-the divine and the destructive-in the same show. It has prepared me to now take on younger, fresher, and more dynamic roles that align with my own age and energy, but with the same emotional intensity," Titiksha ended.
