Jhanak leap twist: Star Plus is all set to rejig its programming before Indian Premiere League 2025 kickstarts in March 2025. The leading GEC has planned quite a few changes in its shows to spice up the drama. Anupamaa, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin have witnessed a leap to combat the competition from other shows and also increase the viewership.

WHY STAR PLUS POSTPONED JHANAK LEAP?

Gossip mills suggested that Star Plus would introduce a leap in Jhanak to spice up the ratings. Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja even confirmed their exit from the popular daily soap. Despite the constant ratings at 10:30pm, the channel decided to bring a generation leap and change the storyline and the cast.

"IPL 2025 will affect the ratings of all the Hindi TV shows. It is a major risk to introduce new faces a month before IPL 2025 starts. The channel has decided to introduce the leap at the right time. Whether Jhanak cast will be retained for the next three months or not remains to be seen. An official confirmation is yet to be made. No decision about the extension of the current storyline has been taken yet," a source earlier told Filmibeat.

As per the latest buzz, Star Plus changed the decision after evaluating the 'impact' of IPL 2025 on the shows. The channel reconsidered the programming change as the cricket league is expected to severely affect the ratings of the TV shows.

WILL HIBA NAWAB QUIT JHANAK AFTER IPL 2025?

There are rumors in the industry that Hiba Nawab's contract has been extended for only three months and she might bid adieu to the show after IPL 2025 finale. However, if the numbers improve and the programming team decides to retain the cast again, expect a miracle.
