Senior Bachchan will continue to host Kaun Banega Crorepati season 17, taking charge of the show for the sixteenth time. The Bollywood megastar has hosted all the seasons, barring KBC 3, where Shah Rukh Khan replaced Big B.

While KBC season 1-3 aired on Star Plus, the show jumped shit to Sony Entertainment Television in 2010.

Last month, the channel released a promo to kick-start the KBC 2025 registration process. Millions of aspirants have already registered for the quiz-based show, which will return in the second half of the year.

Sony TV is all set to rejig its weekday programming with the launch of new properties. After introducing Shirdi Wale Sai Baba, the channel will add Harshad Chopda-Shivangi Joshi-starrer Bade Achhe Lagte Hain Naya Season, Ganesh Kartikeya and Ronit Roy's Prithviraj Chauhan. The Hindi GEC has already unveiled the first promos for the shows.

The channel will launch KBC 17 and Super Dancer season 5 to strengthen its non-fiction programming.

An industry source earlier told Filmibeat, "Kaun Banega Crorepati 2025 will premiere in either July or August. There's no official confirmation about the premiere date; however, it is expected that KBC season 17 will take a prime time slot on the channel. Amitabh Bachchan is returning as a host once again for KBC 2025. The channel wants to take things a notch higher in the upcoming season, giving a chance to millions of aspirants from across the country. KBC 2025 will be loaded with new and innovative segments."

Viewers can register for KBC season 17 by either sending their answers to the WhatsApp number or downloading/updating the SonyLIV app. KBC 17 WhatsApp number is 8591975331. The two methods can be used to participate in the registration process.

The KBC contestants will be selected using a computer method. The aspirants, who advance to the next stage, will have to take a written test followed by a personal interview in Mumbai.

In the latest promo, Amitabh Bachchan revealed the new question for Kaun Banega Crorepati 2025 registration. Viewers have to answer the KBC 17 question by Saturday (May 3), 9pm. For the unversed, a total of ninteetn questions have been asked so far.

"Arka Manik and Sugar Baby are varieties of which fruit popular during the summer in India," the KBC 17 question read.

The options are as follows-

A- Apple
B- Banana
C- Watermelon
D- Grape
