Kruttika Desai: TV Is A Demanding Medium Due To The Deadlines We Meet On A Daily Basis

Actress Kruttika Desai, who plays the role of Bua Maa in the show Meri Bhavya Life, says that short deadlines on TV makes this a very challenging medium. However, she says that the reach of the platform is very rewarding.

"It is very demanding because you have deadlines to meet on a daily basis. In fact, this past week we've been shooting like crazy all night and through the night. It has been taxing, but when you see it and people appreciate it, that is rewarding," she says.

Actors relate to the emotions of their character, and some viewers even try to imitate you in real life. However, the trick, she says, is to pick the right reactions to emulate. "Actors really relate to the emotions of their character. I mean, if one truly did that all the time, one would start going crazy after a while. Viewers also imitate you. They copy the look sometimes, and even the way you react to things. But, you know, there are so many different ways people react to situations in these shows. The onus is on the viewers to pick and choose how they want to use those reactions. In real life, though, I think it's quite silly because every situation is different," she says.

As for feedback, she says that she relies heavily on what her family says. "My family always appreciates my work and my performance. Now, I don't know whether they do it out of love for me or because they really think I'm good," she says.

She adds, "I'm not much on social media and so I generally ignore all trolling. In life, I ignore anything that is bad, negative, or unpleasant."

Meanwhile, talking about the highlights of her track, she says, "The highlight of my character is that, as the story unfolds, you see what a nasty little person this Bua maa is. She's quite mean, she's cunning, she's vicious. To her, inheritance is more important than love for the family. I don't like this Bua maa very much. She's really quite mean."
