While Sony Entertainment Television is introducing Bade Achhe Lagte Hain Naya Season with Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi, Star Plus is ready to bring back a new season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The leading Hindi GECs are set to rejig their programming in the upcoming months following the culmination of IPL 2025.

Barring Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Balika Vadhu, and Kyunki Saas, none of the shows delivered a rating of over 10.

Balika Vadhu was the only show to register a TRP in double digits when Sugna's husband Pratap's death track was introduced. Star Plus has now decided to bring back the nostalgia, the charm of KSBKBT with a new storyline and cast.

"The pre-production work for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has been completed, and the makers are planning to go on floors soon. The channel and the production house have left no stone unturned to make the show a successful affair. Unlike other daily soaps, KSBKBT season 2 will be a limited series, as Smriti Irani has allocated certain dates for the shoot. The actress, who transitioned into a politician, will make her full-fledged return to the world of television with the new season," a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

The storyline will continue to focus on Tulsi and Mihir; however, unlike the previous season, the show will have three children. Tulsi and another female lead's presence will be heavy this season.

Ekta Kapoor's popular hero has been confirmed for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. He has worked with the TV Czarina in a hit romantic daily soap.

Gossip mills have confirmed that Rohit Suchanti and Tanisha Mehta will play the main leads in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2. Rohit is currently busy with the shoot of Bhagyalakshmi, which will go off air next month on Zee TV.

"As Balaji Telefilms is producing both shows, they immediately offered Rohit the lead role and he is expected to sign the dotted lines for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 soon," our source revealed.

According to Gossip TV, Tanisha Mehta will play the second female lead in Kyunki Saas season 2.
