Ekta Kapoor and Star Plus have joined hands to bring the second season of KSBKBT. The iconic pair of Mihir and Tulsi will be back on the TV screens, entertaining the audience with their story. Tulsi Virani, who had several memorable moments, is considered one of the most popular characters in the history of Indian television.

When Ekta Kapoor launched Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, little did she know that the show would emerge as a blockbuster, breaking all the TRP records at 10:30pm. The late night slot was considered a dead slot for television but Kyunki shattered all the records and garnered maximum viewership.

Smriti Irani has already started the shoot for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi season 2, which will have a limited number of episodes.

"The pre-production work for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has been completed, and the show went on floors recently. The channel and the production house have left no stone unturned to make the show a successful affair. Unlike other daily soaps, KSBKBT season 2 will be a limited series, as Smriti Irani has allocated certain dates for the shoot. The actress, who transitioned into a politician, will make her full-fledged return to the world of television with the new season," a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

When asked why Star Plus is bringing back Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, the source quipped, "The channel wants to experiment with a new concept, where it will bring back iconic shows for a limited period of time to enhance the viewership and increase audience engagement. As Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Pratigya, Sasural Genda Phool, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Diya Aur Baati Hum have already aired their second seasons, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi will be the next big show to showcase its second innings with a new cast."

Rohit Suchanti-Shagun Sharma Will Not Play Lovers But...

Gossip mills earlier suggested that Shagun Sharma and Rohit Suchanti would be paired opposite each other in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. However, there's a big twist in the tale.

Both actors have been a part of popular Balaji Telefilms' shows. While Shagun played the lead in Yeh Hai Chahatein, Rohit Suchanti made waves with his performance in Bhagyalakshmi.

In an interesting move, Shagun Sharma and Rohit Suchanti will play siblings in Smriti Irani's much-awaited show. Yes, you read that right!

Bhagyalakshmi actor Aman Gandhi will play their on-screen brother in the show. Tulsi and Mihir will have three children in the serial and the storyline will focus on them.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi season 2 is slated to launch in July 2025 at 10:30 pm slot, replacing Jhanak. Arjit Taneja and Riya Sharma's show is expected to be pushed to 11 pm slot to make way for KSBKBT season 2.
