Unlike other daily soaps, KSBKBT season 2 will be a limited series, as Smriti Irani has allocated certain dates for the shoot. The actress, who transitioned into a politician, will make her full-fledged return to the world of television with the new season," a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

"Smriti Irani is being a paid whopping amount for her stint in Kyunki Saas 1. Considering her star power, the channel is happy to pay her a premium as she is the star of the show. While reports of her charging Rs 14 lakhs are untrue, she is definitely taking home a hefty amount for Ekta Kapoor's show," our khabri said when asked about Smriti Irani's fees for the show.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi season 2 is expected to launch in the first week of July at its original time slot of 10:30pm. Jhanak will be pushed to the 11pm slot to make way for KSBKBT season 2.
