Laughter Chef 2 Cast Chef Harpal Singh On Handling Celebs

Chef Harpal Singh will next be seen in the second season of Laughter Chef. He is all praise for his co-star Bharti Singh and shared that with the guests on the show, it is easy to stay motivated and have fun while cooking.

He said, "There are people on the show who are with us while we're cooking, shooting, and interacting. Their presence really helps boost our energy and makes everything feel much more lively and engaging."

"With my co-host Bharti, who actively interacts with the audience present there, the experience becomes even better. It creates a dynamic and interactive environment, making the whole process more enjoyable for everyone involved," he added.

He also mentioned that the guests are not professionals in cooking; it can sometimes be difficult for them to follow a recipe. He said, "I think it's important to understand that recipes can sometimes be tricky, especially since many of the artists are not experienced in cooking. Some of them have never even entered a kitchen before, so it becomes really challenging for them when they're given a task they don't fully understand."

"In such situations, I guide them by showing them how it's done. I set an example by cooking the dish for them and then stepping back to let them try. Even then, I know it's not easy; just showing something once doesn't mean they'll replicate it perfectly," he added.

He further stressed that cooking takes effort, patience, and practice, and added, "It's a great challenge, but I make sure to guide them patiently and keep their spirits high. Sometimes they get nervous or frustrated, and that's when I step in to make the process easier for them."

Chef Harpal also revealed that being a host on a cooking show with celebrities involved is a challenging task in itself. He said, "It's important to ensure that you don't hurt their feelings, sentiments, or those of their fans. You have to be gentle, polite, and supportive while working with them. As a host, you need to guide them, show them the right techniques, and most importantly, ensure their safety."

"Cooking can involve risks, and I have to make them aware of dangerous situations. For example, some might instinctively try to touch or taste hot caramel with their fingers, which is very dangerous. In such cases, I step in to guide them and ensure they stay safe.I also make sure they fully understand what's being taught-whether it's a recipe or a cooking technique-so they can prepare the dish as best as they can. My goal is to help them cook safely and confidently, delivering the best results possible," he added.

How do you handle kitchen disasters? "There are definitely some kitchen disasters on the show. Sometimes the food turns out really bad-almost inedible-and other times it's surprisingly good, leading to some truly appreciative moments. These ups and downs are part of the fun. What adds to the charm are the comical moments shared by masters of comedy like Krishna Ji and Sudesh Ji. They always have their punchlines ready, whether we're tasting food or interacting with each other, and their humor is absolutely hilarious. These lighthearted moments make the show unique, keeping it fun and full of laughter," he said.

"The best part is that everything on the show is genuine. The food showcased is exactly what the celebrities cook-nothing is altered or replaced behind the scenes. If they cook something, it's presented as it is; if they don't, it simply isn't. This authenticity makes the show stand out, combining real cooking with light-hearted comedy in a way that feels natural and entertaining," chef Harpal ended.
