The Bigg Boss 19 fame recalled an unsettling casting couch incident involving a senior filmmaker whom she had once regarded as a father-like figure. Malti also credited her upbringing for handling these kinds of situations in the film industry.

Malti Chahar has become a household name after her stint in Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss Season 19. Despite being a wildcard contestant, Malti made it to the finale week and emerged as the top 6th finalist.

In a recent interaction with Siddharth Kannan, Malti spoke candidly about the casting couch and revealed that she has encountered uncomfortable situations during her career. She recalled one incident in which an elderly and well-known filmmaker allegedly attempted to forcibly kiss her, leaving her shaken and deeply disturbed.

"Yes, sometimes it happens. Once or twice, people may try their luck," she stated, continuing, "People here are very smart. They understand your nature and your body language. One or two people crossed the line, one even misbehaved, but most understood my boundaries."

In the same interview, Malti recalled a disturbing incident and stated that a prominent senior filmmaker behaved inappropriately with her during a professional interaction. She recalled that she had met the filmmaker several times earlier to discuss work-related matters. Once the discussion concluded, she leaned in for a brief side hug as a gesture of courtesy. However, what followed left her completely taken aback.

According to Malti, the filmmaker suddenly attempted to kiss her on the lips. "I was stunned and couldn't process what had just happened," she said, adding that she immediately pushed him away and chose to cut all contact thereafter. She revealed that she had always looked up to him as a father-like figure, which made the incident even more distressing.

Reflecting on the experience, Malti said it became a harsh wake-up call for her. "It taught me never to idolise anyone blindly and to remain alert at all times. I never expected someone of his age and stature to act that way. I felt furious and deeply hurt," she shared.
