New Year 2026: Kanwar Dhillon Looks Back At 2025 With Gratitude, Growth And Hope For A Calmer Year Ahead

Actor Kanwar Dhillon, who plays the lead role of Sachin in Udne Ki Aasha, looks back at 2025 as a year filled with gratitude, growth and important life moments. From professional success on television to personal milestones, the actor says the year has been kind to him in many ways and has taught him valuable lessons.

"2025 has been very kind to me, my family and my show," Kanwar says. "I am saying goodbye to the year with a lot of love and thankfulness in my heart."

One of the biggest milestones for Kanwar this year was buying his own house. Calling it an indescribable feeling, the actor says it has been his most special personal achievement. "Buying my first individual home and also building a family house together is something I will always cherish," he shares.

On the professional front, Kanwar feels deeply grateful. Udne Ki Aasha brought him appreciation, awards and immense love from viewers. "It has been a year full of wins and recognition for the show and for my character Sachin. I am thankful to every single person who has been part of this journey," he says.

However, the year was not without its challenges. Kanwar candidly talks about the pressure of delivering one-hour episodes for a long period. "Shoot-wise, it becomes very hectic for the entire team. Life starts revolving only around shooting," he admits. With a smile, he adds that his wish for 2026 is simple - "I hope the show goes back to a 30-minute slot. It will help us manage time better and deliver even stronger content."

2025 also left Kanwar emotionally affected due to several tragic global incidents. "So many heartbreaking things happened across the world - plane crashes, incidents in Bangladesh, and many other losses. It was disturbing," he says. The actor hopes that the coming years bring more peace and fewer human-made tragedies. "I pray for the departed souls and strength for their families. I truly hope the world becomes calmer."

One important lesson Kanwar takes forward from 2025 is time management. With long shoot hours, many personal joys took a backseat - hobbies, movies, friends and family time. "But this phase taught me discipline. I learned how to manage limited time better, and that lesson will stay with me," he says.

As he signs off, Kanwar sums up the year with quiet pride and happiness. "Professionally, 2025 has been the best time of my life. The love I received for Udne Ki Aasha and Sachin has been overwhelming. Personally and professionally, it has been the most beautiful year of my life."
