No Starry Tantrums: Dipshikkha Nagppal On Working With Arbaaz Khan On Kesar

No Starry Tantrums Dipshikkha Nagppal

Dipshikkha Nagppal is starring alongsideArbaaz Khan and Bhumika Chawla in a movie titled Kesar, which revolves around a cancer patient and her journey. She had a great time shooting for the movie and was full of praise for her co-stars.

Talking about them, she said, "I've done a couple of films with Arbaaz earlier too. He's such a simple and down-to-earth person. No starry tantrums. He does his work, cracks jokes, and shares funny stories. He's very dedicated. There was one instance where for the shoot production informed me last moment due to a shift clash and so i was late, and production people tried to tell him different stories. But Arbaaz stood up for me and said, 'I know Dipshikkha, if she's committed, she'll come.' That really touched me."

"As for Bhumika, the minute we met, we clicked. She's such a soft-spoken and sweet person. There was no competition between us. She did her part well, and I did mine. It felt like a family setup on set. I also bonded well with her son-he's super intelligent," she added.

Asked to share a memorable moment from the set, she said there was a funny yet stressful moment. She said, "When I was shooting for Singhani vs. Singhani, I had to rush for a scene in this film. The production team didn't inform Arbaaz properly, and when I reached the set late, he was initially misinformed. But once I explained, he took a stand for me, which meant a lot."

"That scene also happened to be my introduction scene, and we shot it at 12 AM! I was exhausted, but I delivered it in one take. The pressure was intense, but it's now a memorable moment for me," she added.

During that time Dipshikkha was busy with a TV show as well, and shooting back-to-back projects made it quite challenging for her. She said, "I was physically and mentally exhausted on that day. My character talks a lot in that scene-she's very expressive-and I had to deliver all my lines in one go. Arbaaz and Bhumika were already tired, and the pressure was on me to not mess up."

"I somehow went into auto mode, and thankfully, it went well in one take. But emotionally, it drained me because your brain doesn't know you're acting-it reacts to the emotion and affects your entire system," she added.

Kesar reminded Dipshikkha about the importance of both physical and mental health. She shared, "I've lost loved ones at an early age, and I'm very conscious about my health too. When you work on such emotionally heavy subjects, it acts like a life check. It reminds you to value relationships, take care of your emotions, and never ignore your personal well-being."

Message she hopes the audience takes away? "The film gives a beautiful message-that no matter what disease one is fighting, one should never lose hope. Life is precious, and one should enjoy every moment. Also, the people around a patient should treat them normally and support them so they don't feel any different. It's about emotional strength, resilience, and compassion," Dipshikkha ended.
