While Mahhi Vij was last seen in a full-fledged role in Balika Vadhu, Parth romanced Erica Fernandes in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2.

At the centre of Seher Hone Ko Hai is Kausar, played by Mahhi Vij, who was married off as a child. Kausar carries that experience into adulthood and refuses to let history repeat. Kausar wants a different future for her daughter Seher (Rishita Kothari), whose dream is to study hard and become a doctor.

For Kausar, Seher’s education is more than an ambition; it is a quiet resistance against the control Kausar once faced. Kausar pushes for school and independence, believing knowledge can protect Seher from early marriage. This stance places Kausar in direct conflict with the family’s older beliefs and expectations.

Parvez, played by Vaqaur Shaikh, holds firm to conservative social rules and family honour. Parvez decides Seher should marry Mahid, the grandson of Osmaan, an influential figure in their community.

However, Mahid, portrayed by Parth Samthaan, has a quiet link to modern science through treatment from Dr. Farid. Dr. Farid, played by Apurva Agnihotri, who brings a rational voice into the story.

Deepak Qazir is essaying the role of Osmaan in Seher Hone Ko Hai. The show will air from Monday to Friday at 10:30pm on Colors channel.
