EXCLUSIVE! Yesha Rughani To Play Female Lead Opposite Shabir Ahluwalia In Sony SAB's New Show?

It's raining new shows on Indian television. Colors channel has launched Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki (Ayesha Singh-Adnan Khan starrer), Ram Bhawan, Doree 2 and Laughter Chefs in the month of January. Sony Entertainment Television introduced Celebrity MasterChef in its weekday programming while Star Plus launched Pocket Mein Aasmaan.

Sony SAB is also set to launch a new weekday show with Shabir Ahluwalia as the male lead. The TV Heartthrob, known for his performance in Kumkum Bhagya opposite Sriti Jha, will be seen in a different avatar in the daily soap.

If the recent buzz is to be believed, the casting process for Sonali Jaffar and Amir Jaffar's new show is about to be completed. The show is under pre-production and will go on floors when the actors are locked in.

Yesha Rughani, who was last seen in Rabb Se Hai Dua, has been approached to play the female lead in the show.

A source exclusively informed Filmibeat, "Yesha Rughani is in contention to play the female lead in Sony SAB's new show opposite Shabir Ahluwalia. The production house is keen to have her on board. If things go as planned, the channel might lock the TV diva for the show."
