"Sheezan Is One Of The Most Unique Castings We’ve Done In Any Of Our Shows,” Says Sargun Mehta

At the launch of Dreamiyata Dramaa's upcoming romantic drama Tu Aashiiki Haii, emotions ran high as cast members opened up about the deep connections and behind-the-scenes experiences that shaped the show. Among them, actor Sheezan Khan, who plays a complex and unconventional character, shared his honest journey and the challenges he faced stepping into unfamiliar territory.

"This is the first time in my career that I've played a character I couldn't personally resonate with," Sheezan admitted. "The only reason I was able to pull it off was because of him. Whenever I felt stuck, I would call him-and he would pick up, even early in the morning, and make me do my lines on the phone. Everything would happen on call. He was even there on my very first day of shoot."

Sheezan revealed that he had asked the creator, "Why did you choose me for this role?"-a question that lingered until the show finally came to life. "Truly, it's only because of him that I was able to do it," he emphasized, referring to the support system he leaned on throughout the project.

Adding to the appreciation, producer and creator Sargun Mehta praised Sheezan's performance, calling his casting one of the most unexpected and boldest choices Dreamiyata has made.

"He is one of the most unique castings we've done in any of our shows," said Sargun. "You all wouldn't have seen him play a role like this before-and probably won't again. And after this, he's playing a hero. But in this project, he's done a fabulous job. It was a very difficult character, but he pulled it off brilliantly."

Overwhelmed by the praise, Sheezan smiled and confessed, "This is the first time I'm hearing all this from you guys, so it feels really good. And honestly, I get very scared whenever I get a call from Ravi Bhai."

Tu Aashiiki Haii, starring Abhishek Kumar, Sheezan Khan, and Amandeep Sidhu, premieres on 6th June on Dreamiyata Dramaa.
