The tragic news of Shefali Jariwala's untimely demise came as a shock to everyone. Celebrities, including her friend from the showbiz, are mourning the loss of the model-turned-actress. Shefali, who also appeared in Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 13, would often paint the town red with mushy pictures with her husband Parag Tyagi. But not many knew that it was not hr first marriage.

Shefali Jariwala was previously married to singer-music composer Harmeet Singh from the popular Meet Bros duo. The two had gotten hitched in 2004, but things went downhill, and their marriage hit rock bottom. In 2009, the duo got divorced.

Born on August 25, 1990, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, as reported by the Stars Unfold page, Harmeet Singh is a well-known singer-composer of the Hindi film industry. The 45-year-old is the younger one of the Meet Bros duo. With his elder brother Manmeet Singh, Harmeet delivered chartbuster songs like 'Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan', 'Baby Doll', 'Party Toh Banti Hai', and 'Main Tera Boyfriend', to name a few.

The Meet Bros duo won an IIFA (International Indian Film Academy Awards) and a Filmfare Award in the 'Best Music Director' category for Roy. They were also honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2018 in the 'Best Live Performers' category.

Harmeet Singh was entangled in a controversy after Shefali Jariwala had filed assault and abuse charges against her first husband. Several years after her tumultuous marriage with Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros fame, Shefali had once spoken about what went wrong in her first wedding.

Talking to Times Now, the late actress said, "It is very important to understand that you are not being appreciated. Not every kind of violence is physical. There is a lot of mental violence that also happens and you are very unhappy in your life. I think, one of the reasons why I could make the decision for myself, was because I was independent. I was making my own money. The biggest fear in our country is we have is of the society. Divorce is considered to be taboo but the way I have been raised, is to not really care about society but just do what we feel is right. I could take such steps in my life and had strong support. (sic)"

"Women need to understand that you need to be really independent and you have to recognise the situation you are in. Sometimes, women do not recognise it for years together that they are not in a happy marriage. Things can happen amicably for the better but there are a lot of people out there who support you.
