While we have been actively campaigning for Nach Baliye 10, Star Plus seems to be in no mood to introduce non-fiction programming anytime soon. But Colors TV has been kind enough to plan a new show based on popular Indian television jodis. If you're an avid viewer of reality television, you need to get the popcorn ready.

Tentatively titled Shola Aur Shabnam, the show will be the next big launch on Colors channel. "After Laughter Chefs' success, the channel is back with yet another new IP that will take the audience on a roller coaster ride filled with emotions, drama and romance," our khabri quipped.

A reliable industry source exclusively told Filmibeat, "Things are currently under pre-production and the channel is keen to bring a unique concept on Indian television, where TV couples compete against each other in fun-filled tasks. While comparisons with Smart Jodi will be made, it is different than the Star Plus show as it will feature new challenges, showcasing the cute nok-jhok and relationship between the celebrities. The channel has approached several popular couples to participate in the show."

Guess what? Tejasswi Prakash and Karan Kundrra said to be 'almost locked' for the show. "Colors considers Tejasswi their lucky mascot as her previous shows have worked for the channel. Swaragini, Naagin 6 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 were a hit. Bigg Boss season 15 didn't gain the desired ratings, but the show grabbed several eyeballs throughout its stint on the small screen. If things go as planned, Tejasswi and Karan will be seen together in a full-fledged show soon," our khabri said.

Last month, Tejasswi wrapped up the shoot of Celebrity MasterChef, where she emerged as the second runner-up. Meanwhile, Karan made a return to Laughter Chefs season 2 on popular demand.

Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash are expected to lock horns with Aly Goni-Jasmin Bhasin, Hina Khan-Rocky Jaiswal, Rubina Dilaik-Abhinav Shukla, Avika Gor-Milind Chandwani in the upcoming reality show.
