Shruti Gholap Aka Sumati On Jamai No 1: It Will Continue To Captivate Audiences

Shruti Gholap, who plays Sumati in Jamai No. 1, produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah under their banner Studio LSD, is thrilled to see her show receiving an overwhelming response this year, thanks to its unique storyline.

She said, "I see our show progressing beautifully this year. With its unique storyline, relatable characters, and the dedication of the entire team, I am confident it will continue to captivate audiences and achieve great success."

Shruti believes that a character must experience ups and downs in a show to make it more relatable. Speaking about her character, she shared, "Since we portray a middle-class family that is very religious and idealistic, the story naturally involves challenges. When my son Neel gets married, our family will face numerous ups and downs that will test our beliefs and ethics. These struggles make the story more relatable and emotionally engaging for viewers."

She also mentioned that with daily soaps being shot back-to-back, personal time often takes a back seat. She said, "It's definitely challenging, but since I've been in this industry for many years, it has become second nature. I've lived a life full of challenges, and I view these experiences as opportunities for growth."

"Balancing work and personal life is about maintaining perspective and staying resilient," she added.

However, Shruti emphasised the importance of balance in life. "While acting demands a lot of time and energy, being happy and doing the things you love is equally important. Taking care of yourself is essential. We only get one life, so it's important to live it to the fullest. People often focus on complaints, but when you're busy and productive, it's a blessing to manage multiple things simultaneously," she said.

"I try to learn something new every day. Growth is an ongoing process, and I have a list of things I want to explore and master this year. Expanding my skills and embracing new challenges is always on my checklist," she added.

When asked how she handles criticism and feedback about her performance, Shruti said she takes criticism constructively. "Feedback helps me grow and improve as an actor. While it's impossible to please everyone, I focus on learning from suggestions and doing my best in every performance," she said.

Shruti also highlighted the importance of teamwork on the set of a daily soap. She said, "Teamwork is everything. A daily soap runs smoothly because of the collective efforts of the cast, crew, directors, and writers. We all depend on each other to deliver our best, and that synergy reflects on screen. It's a collaborative process, and I'm grateful to work with such talented and hardworking individuals," she added.
