Shubhangi Atre husband death reason: Popular television actress Shubhangi Atre, known for her impressive performance in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, is grief-stricken as she has lost her former husband. Shubhangi was married to Piyush (Peeyush) Sorey for close to two decades. The former couple got divorced two months ago.

Piyush Poorey reportedly succumbed to liver cirrhosis on Saturday (April 19). Shubhangi married Peeyush Poorey in 2003, with whom she shared a daughter named Ashi. The actress surprised her fans when she announced her separation from her husband after 19 years of marriage.
Earlier this year (February 5), Shubhangi and Piyush were granted a divorce. The actress, who has remained guarded about her personal life, requested her well-wishers to give her privacy amid the tough times.

Atre is said to be grappling with immense sorrow over her ex-husband's demise. She urged everyone to give her space and time to talk about the loss. "Your thoughtfulness during this time means a great deal to me. I request you to give me some time to talk about this," Atre told Bombay Times.

The Chidiya Ghar actress is reportedly mourning the loss of her former husband. As she is a thorough professional, she has resumed the shoot for Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain from Sunday (April 20).
Shubhangi, who worked in several hit TV shows, earlier spoke about ending her marriage with Piyush, a digital marketing professional.
Opening up about her divorce, the actress had said that she was fully invested in the relationship but developed 'irreconcilable differences' over a period of time.
The Kasturi star said that she felt a 'sense of peace' as if a 'heavy burden' was lifted from her life following the divorce. The actress had said that she would like to concentrate on her daughter and ensure she got a secure environment. Describing her divorce as 'painful', she told the leading daily Bombay Times, she and Piyush tried their best to save the marriage but realized that they couldn't work on their differences.
She stated that the former couple decided to give each other space and focus on their respective lives and careers.
