Social Media Feels Like Chaos Now No Real Talent, Just Random Trends- Pratiksha Rai

Social Media Feels Like Chaos Now No Real Talent- Prathiksha

Actress Pratiksha Rai who played Karishma in popular show Vasudha, believes that the era of social media originality has passed, giving way to monotony and digital fatigue. "Honestly, yes. Initially, social media felt fun, maybe because it was new. But now it's become repetitive. People just copy each other. Whether it's social media, films, or television - everything follows trends," she says.

She adds that creativity today has taken a backseat. "Even vertical web series nowadays feel the same - same tone, same concepts. And I'll admit, even I've become part of that loop sometimes. Earlier, I used to give my interviews naturally, but now I take help from ChatGPT. Just like creators now take 'inspiration' instead of creating from their heart."

Pratiksha also points out how algorithms have narrowed discovery online. "Sometimes I feel the algorithm isn't a good thing. It's like we're all stuck in a kua - a deep well - seeing only what we already know. There's no real discovery anymore, just repetition of what the system thinks we like."

She further laments how social media has shifted from creativity to chaos. "Everyone suddenly has become a doctor, a healer, a jyotish - all on social media. And what's even worse is people going viral for doing wrong things, even harming animals, and still getting rewarded with views. It's honestly sad and exhausting."

According to her, audiences are now craving more meaningful and slower content. "Life is already stressful. People need something light, something that makes them smile. Genuine comedy, real connection - that's what's missing now," she explains.

Looking ahead, she believes social media will soon become just another routine part of life. "It'll stop feeling new but will still control us completely. People will scroll, they'll post, and they'll live inside it without even realizing it. Maybe that's the real danger," Pratiksha concludes thoughtfully.
