Tumm Se Tumm Tak Star Manraj Singh On The Show’s Concept: It’s Not Your Typical Romantic Drama

Manraj Singh Sharma is currently seen in Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah's new project, Tumm Se Tumm Tak, which is produced under their banner, Studio LSD. The show is making headlines for its bold age-gap relationship storyline, and the actor shared that the show is much more than that.
"When I first heard the concept, I was completely blown away. I was really intrigued by the fact that it's a thriller wrapped in a love story, with layers of mystery and suspense. That kind of genre excites me. It's not your typical romantic drama-it's much more than that," he said.
Sharing his thoughts on the premise of the show, he shared that there is definitely a taboo around age-gap relationships in television; however, he stressed that it needs to change. "As audiences, creators, and actors, we all need to evolve. Just like web and film content has matured, TV should not be stuck in a regressive space. In Tumm Se Tumm Tak, there's a strong reason behind the age-gap element, and viewers will understand it as the story unfolds," he said.
"We live in a cancel culture right now where we don't allow stories the breathing space they deserve," he added.
He even complimented the producers for taking such bold steps and pushing boundaries. He said, "This kind of storytelling is already happening in regional content-so why should Hindi TV shy away? It all comes down to how you present it, and I believe this show presents it beautifully."
Talking about his experience of working with Prateek and Parth, he shared that though it is the first time he is working with them, he has loved every moment. He said, "They've created a space where everyone, from cast to crew, feels respected and valued. They understand the artistic process and give actors the freedom and trust to do their job well."
"What I admire about Prateek and Parth is that they don't differentiate based on the medium-whether it's TV, film, or web. For them, a scene is a scene, and it deserves the same treatment, attention, and honesty. That mindset is so refreshing. They're involved producers, always on their feet, constantly pushing to make things better. They treat storytelling seriously, keep things natural, and avoid unnecessary drama. You can feel the collective energy on set-and that kind of atmosphere really motivates actors like me. I truly believe they're going to change how television content is made, and I hope I get to collaborate with them more in the future," he ended.
