Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Heroine Samridhii Shukla

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Actor Samridhii Shukla shares that the viewers are seeing the same trends, filters, and reels recycled again and again. She stressed that this repetition has somewhere killed the real talent.

She said, "It started with Orkut, then Yahoo Messenger, then Facebook, and then came Instagram. Up until that point, I think it was really creative. I think after TikTok, though there are some very entertaining reels and there are some really talented people who have made entire careers out of it, somewhere I feel talent has taken a back seat and repetition and just doing the same old thing has taken a front seat, and more."

"Another thing that has become a fad is just doing very absurd things on social media to get noticed. Everyone wants their quick shot to fame. I think a few years ago it used to make a lasting impact, but now, because of the attention span, because there are so many people, I think it has lost its spark," she added.

Samridhii feels the audience is beginning to lose interest in social media today because it has become predictable. She said, "There are trending songs, and everyone is doing the same steps, but you want to see different people do it differently. And now it's been a few years of us seeing that, but unless and until someone is very talented, you don't really want to watch, because you know what's about to come. So it becomes predictable."

She mentioned that the viewers' attention span also has gone down because there is nothing new to offer. She added, "Social media and using phones have just become an escape for whenever we don't want to be alone. But I think change is coming."

She further said, "People want to do social media detoxes, people want to get away from all this digital clutter, and they want to balance it out. So it is very important, and it should be a part of our lives, but it should be controlled."

She also pointed out that earlier social media used to be about sharing real moments, connecting with friends, and discovering new things. She said, "Now, it feels a bit noisy and fast. Everyone is trying to be seen, and that makes it a little less personal."

"I think genuine connection still exists; you just have to look for it and use social media mindfully," Samridhii ended.
