A source earlier told Filmibeat, "The production house has amped up the drama factor in the show, leading to a huge twist. While Armaan and Abhira's relationship will once again face the test of time, a leap will take things forward. A five or six-year leap will be incorporated into the storyline, following which AbhiMaan will get separated. Yes, once again. Abhira and Armaan will have to part ways. How things will change following Pookie's birth will form the crux of the story."

Armaan and Abhira's woes are not ending anytime soon as the makers have planned to separate them. Marriage, separation, reunion and again separation- this seems to be the norm for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Interestingly, Rumeen Ali has been confirmed to play the new love interest in Armaan's life. The newbie actress will be playing the third wheel in AbhiMaan's relationship. YRKKH will witness two new entries, leading to a major twist.

WILL GARVITA SANDHWANI (RUHI) QUIT YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI AFTER LEAP?

There was a buzz that Ruhi's track might end due to the leap. This sparked rumours about Garvita Sandhawani making an exit from Yeh Rishta. After staying tight-lipped about the development, Garvita confirmed her departure from the hit serial.

"Garvita is no longer a part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She is leaving as the creative team has planned a meaty track for other artists following the leap," our source told Filmibeat when we asked about the potential departure of Ruhi.

Garvita, who replaced Pratiksha Honmukhe, played the role of Ruhi for over a year. She was earlier seen in Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si.
