Anupamaa New Entry: Produced by Rajan Shahi's Director's Kut Productions, Star Plus Anupamaa show has been entertaining viewers since its premiere in 2020 and is continuously among the highest-rated shows across channels. Featuring Rupali Ganguly in the titular role, the show also features Shivam Khajuria and Adrija Roy as the new generation lead stars.

In its run of around six years so far, Anupamaa has been performing well consistently on the TRP charts and the makers often introduces new twists to make the family drama more entertaining for the loyal fanbase. Amid all this, the latest update suggests that a popular character is set to re-enter the long-running show.

ANUPAMAA CURRENT TRACK: PREM CUTS TIES WITH ANUPAMAA; SHRUTI TO RE-ENTER

After the recent Goa track, Anupamaa has finally returned to Ahmedabad but things are not going well for her. For those unaware, the current track revolves around Prem's dream of opening his own restaurant and Anupamaa having the authority to approve the same. While everyone though that she'll surely help Prem, things didn't go as planned.

Well, Anupamaa refused to give her approval as she found out about some issues at Prem's restaurant. Her decision broke Prem's dream of having his own restaurant due to which he has cut all his ties with his belove 'mummy.' While this incident broke Prem's confidence in his skills, Rahi is trying to motivate him to move on and fulfill his dream.

Amid all this, the latest promos hinted that a new entry is going to help Prem and Rahi in the upcoming episodes. Well, she's none other than Shruti, who was once madly in love with Anuj. Yes, you read that right! However, there's a twist. While Shruti Kandpal played the role earlier, the makers have roped in Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha's Kumkum Bhagya co-star as the new Shruti.

SAMIKSSHA BHATNAGAR CONFIRMED TO PLAY NEW SHRUTI IN ANUPAMAA

Well, we're talking about talented actress Samikssha Batnagar known for playing important characters in several shows including Veera, Uttaran, Mahadev, and Baal Veer among others. Confirming the same, Samikssha told ETimes TV, "I feel delighted and blessed to be stepping into Anupamaa with such a powerful role. The show is already doing wonderfully, and I am grateful to be a part of this journey. My heartfelt thanks to Rajan Shahi sir for believing in me and recognising my potential."

On being asked about replacing Sukriti Kandpal as Shruti, she added, "I have not followed Sukirti's portrayal, so I am approaching it as a new role. I cannot reveal much right now, but the character graph is quite interesting and will add drama to the show."
