Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain Star Shubhangi Atre: The Rain Has A Beautiful Way Of Slowing Life Down
For actress Shubhangi Atre, who has entertained audiences with shows like Do Hanson Ka Jodaa, Havan, Chidiya Ghar, and Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain!, the arrival of the monsoon is something she eagerly looks forward to every year. The season, she says, has a way of bringing back memories that no other time of the year can.

"Every time the first spell of rain arrives, I feel like a child again," she says. "I remember stepping out without worrying about getting wet, making paper boats, and enjoying every bit of it. There was a different kind of excitement in those days. Even today, the smell of wet soil and the sound of rain instantly take me back to those beautiful memories."
Despite her busy schedule, Shubhangi admits she enjoys slowing down whenever she gets the chance during the rainy season.
"Rain somehow changes the mood of the day," she says. "If I'm not working, I don't feel like going anywhere. I enjoy staying indoors, making myself a cup of ginger tea, picking up a book, or simply sitting near the window and watching the rain. We are always rushing from one thing to another, and monsoon reminds me that it's okay to pause for a while."
Ask her about music, and she smiles before naming one song she never gets tired of hearing.
"Rimjhim Gire Saawan has always been my favourite monsoon song," she says. "It has such a timeless quality. The lyrics, the music, and the emotions all come together beautifully. No matter how many times I hear it, it still feels fresh."
Like most Indians, Shubhangi believes the rainy season is incomplete without comfort food.
"I don't think you can enjoy the monsoon without hot pakodas and chai," she says with a laugh. "It's a simple pleasure, but somehow everything tastes better when it's raining outside."
The actress also loves travelling during this time of the year and says hill stations become even more beautiful once the rains arrive.
"I enjoy places surrounded by greenery. The fresh air, the mist, and the peaceful atmosphere make you feel completely refreshed. Nature looks alive during the monsoon, and that's what makes those trips so memorable," she shares.
For Shubhangi, the biggest gift of the season is the perspective it brings.
"We often get so busy chasing deadlines and responsibilities that we forget to enjoy life's simplest moments," she says. "The rain reminds me to slow down, breathe, and appreciate what I already have. Sometimes, happiness is nothing more than a quiet evening, a warm cup of tea, and the sound of raindrops outside your window."
