Chandan Anand On Teaching Shakuni’s Signature Clap To The Young Cast Of Sony SAB's Hastinapur Ke Veer

Influencing Kauravas is the mastermind Shakuni, portrayed by Chandan Anand. While Shakuni uses his wit and calculated moves to influence the young Pandavas and Kauravas on screen, off-screen Chandan shares a warm and playful bond with the show's young cast. One of the quirkiest things to catch everyone's attention has been Shakuni's distinctive clap. a signature gesture that Chandan inherited from his grandfather and thoughtfully incorporated into the character. Intrigued by the unique style, the young actors could not resist asking him to teach them how to do it. Delighted by their enthusiasm, he happily showed them the rhythm and style behind it. Speaking about the experience, Chandan Anand said, "This clap has been a part of my life for years. I learnt it from my grandfather and when I started playing Shakuni I made it Shakuni's signature gesture. I never imagined the young actors on the set would be so fascinated by it! They kept asking me to teach them and seeing them practice it with so much excitement was honestly the sweetest part. Watching them do the clap feels very special because it was almost like passing that little family tradition to the next generation. Now whenever I see them doing my clap, I can't help but smile."
