EXCLUSIVE: Shubhangi Atre On Reunion Plans With Her Kasturi Co-Star Karan Patel
Shubhangi Atre and Karan Patel's pairing was one of the most loved TV jodis onscreen. But off-screen, it was rumoured that they didn't get along, sparking speculations about their alleged feud and tension.
In an interview, as reported by Bollywood Shaadis, Atre had expressed her frustration and revealed that Patel was short-tempered at that time and would come late on sets on a daily basis, while she'd leave home on a Wednesday for shooting and return only on Friday or Saturday.
Now, in an exclusive interview with Mukesh Sharma from Filmibeat, when she was asked to name one of her co-stars with whom she would like to reunite on-screen, she immediately took Karan Patel's name.
She replied, "Kasturi ke mai nayi thi and mujhe kuch sense bhi nahi tha. And Karan Patel is a very good performer." She also shared a fun anecdote from her Kasturi days, revealing how Patel would often tease her by calling himself "gareebo ka Shah Rukh Khan," while playfully referring to her as "gareebo ki Juhi Chawla."

Shubhangi Atre-Karan Patel Fallout
Back in the day, Shubhangi Atre had referred to her Kasturi days and working with Karan Patel as her "ragging period". "Whatever stories you've heard from that time-I feel they were necessary for me. It was like a little ragging. Just like engineering or medical colleges, where there's a bit of ragging that helps you become tough, that's what it was for me. I consider that as my ragging period," she'd said.
After that, in an interview with India Forums, the actress revealed that they have become friends now. ''Hum dono bahut hi alag alag duniya se aaye hue log thhe uss wakt but now we are very good friends. Aisa kuch nahi hai, hum baat bhi karte rehte hai. Infact unhone ek interview kiya tha koi channel pe aur unhone national television par mujhe bola tha 'sorry Shubhangi' toh mujhe bahut acha laga tha."
