Indian Idol 16 elimination today: Indian Idol 16 has reached a crucial phase, as thirteen singers are remaining in the race to become the eventual winner. Sony TV is currently focusing on reality formats such as Indian Idol season 16 and India's Got Talent 11. MasterChef India 9 has already taken over the weekday slot from Kaun Banega Crorepati 17. A reliable industry source exclusively told Filmibeat Chief Copy Editor Abhishek Ranjit, "Sony Entertainment Television is working to improve its non-fiction programming as it wishes to introduce a series of new shows, including MasterChef India and Wheel of Fortune. While fiction dramas have taken a backseat, non-fiction will continue to remain the staple diet of the leading Hindi GEC. Indian Idol 16 continues to remain a top property for the channel and it wishes to take things to the next level by bringing in new guests and introducing spicy twists and turns."

With thirteen singers battling for the trophy and three already out, Indian Idol 16 now moves into a more intense phase.

Indian Idol 16 Top 12 contestants name and elimination status

Before the festive episodes, Indian Idol 16 completed its theatre round and platinum mic auditions, locking its Top 16 singers. The current line-up includes Abhijit Sharma, Abhishek Kumar, Amritha Rajan, Ankita Pradhan, Anshika Chonkar, Diwakar Choubey, Jyotirmayee Nayak, Manraj Veer, Shreenidhi Shastry, Shreya Verma, Sugandha Date, Suhail and Tanishk Shukla, with all thirteen still in contention.

Three contestants have already exited Indian Idol 16 after facing eliminations on different weekends. Banashree Biswas left on 21st December 2025, Manav was eliminated on 07th December 2025, and Arfin Rana got evicted earlier on 23rd November 2025.
